HARTFORD, July 12, 2017: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Chris Drury announced today that the Wolf Pack has signed forward Dan DeSalvo to an AHL contract.
DeSalvo, a 5-8, 171-pound native of Rolling Meadows, IL, skated in 66 games with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose this past season, scoring 18 goals, second-most on the team, and adding 22 assists for 40 points. That point total was good for third on the Moose club, and DeSalvo also logged 30 penalty minutes. Prior to joining the Moose November 10, the second-year pro tallied 6-7-13 in 12 ECHL games with the Tulsa Oilers.
The 25-year-old DeSalvo also split his rookie season, 2015-16, between Manitoba and Tulsa. In 17 games with the Moose, DeSalvo had five goals and nine assists for 14 points, after striking for 51 points (16-35-51) and a +16 in 55 contests with the Oilers. Those totals were good for tops on the Tulsa club in points, assists and plus/minus, and earned DeSalvo ECHL All-Rookie honors.
Before turning pro, DeSalvo played four seasons at Bowling Green University. In 153 career games with the Falcons, he amassed 29 goals and 73 assists for 102 points.
The Wolf Pack open their 2017-18 season Friday, October 6, with their home-ice opener vs. the Charlotte Checkers. Faceoff is 7:15 PM.
