HARTFORD, July 11, 2018: Spectra, operators of the XL Center and Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced the Wolf Pack’s schedule of games for the 2018-19 American Hockey League season.
The first date of the Wolf Pack’s 76-game slate is their XL Center home opener, which takes place Friday, October 5 vs. the Providence Bruins. Faceoff is 7:15 PM.
Including the October 5 opener, the Wolf Pack’s home schedule will feature nine Friday-night dates, and 14 more home games will be on Saturdays. The Wolf Pack will play six Sundays at home, eight Wednesdays and one Tuesday.
One of the Wednesday dates, November 14 vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, will be the Wolf Pack’s fifth annual “Sonar’s Edu-skate” school-day home game, with faceoff at 11:00 AM. All Friday-night home games will be 7:15 PM faceoffs, and the rest of the non-Sunday home outings will start at 7:00 PM, except for Saturday, October 27, Saturday, November 24 and Saturday, March 2, which are 7:30 PM starts. All Sunday home games will be 3:00 PM faceoffs.
The Wolf Pack’s most familiar adversaries will again be their New England rivals the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Springfield Thunderbirds and Providence Bruins, whom the Wolf Pack will meet ten times each (five home, five away) in 2018-19. The Wolf Pack will go up against the Charlotte Checkers eight times (four home, four away), and will see the rest of their divisional foes, the Hershey Bears, Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, six teams each (three home, three away).
In action outside their division, the Wolf Pack will have four battles each (two home, two away), with the Binghamton Devils, Rochester Americans and Utica Comets, and will take on the Belleville Senators, Laval Rocket, Syracuse Crunch and Toronto Marlies twice each (one home, one away).
