RANGERS REDUCE TRAINING CAMP ROSTER 

38 Players Remain in Training Camp

NEW YORK, September 27, 2018 – New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has made the following the changes to its Training Camp roster:

          Gabriel FontaineTim GettingerJohn Gilmour, and Ryan Gropp have been assigned by the Rangers to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

          Bobby Butler and Drew Melanson, who were both attending Rangers Training Camp on a Professional Tryout and an Amateur Tryout, respectively, have been released from their respective Tryouts and will join the Wolf Pack Training Camp. Butler and Melanson were both signed by the Wolf Pack to AHL contracts on July 2, 2018. The Rangers have 38 players remaining in Training Camp. The roster breakdown is listed below:

Forwards (21): Lias Andersson, Matt Beleskey, Pavel Buchnevich, Filip Chytil, Jesper Fast, Steven Fogarty, Kevin Hayes, Peter Holland, Brett Howden, Chris Kreider, Vinni Lettieri, Michael Lindqvist, Cody McLeod, Ville Meskanen, Vladislav Namestnikov, Boo Nieves, Cole Schneider, Ryan Spooner, Jimmy Vesey, Mika Zibanejad, Mats Zuccarello 

Defensemen (13): Chris Bigras, Fredrik Claesson, Brandon Crawley, Tony DeAngelo, Libor Hajek, Ryan Lindgren, Adam McQuaid, Rob O’Gara, Neal Pionk, Kevin Shattenkirk, Brady Skjei, Brendan Smith, Marc Staal 

Goaltenders (4): Alexandar Georgiev, Henrik Lundqvist, Marek Mazanec, Dustin Tokarski
