XL CENTER AND THE UCONN TO HOST NCAA® TOURNAMENT
HARTFORD’S EIGHT TEAMS REVEALED IN SELECTION SUNDAY SHOW

HARTFORD, CT – March 17, 2019 – The field of 68 post-season bound teams have been revealed, with eight teams heading to the NCAA® First and Second Rounds at the XL Center in Hartford, CT on March 21st and 23rd. The XL Center and the University of Connecticut will host the following teams as they extend their seasons into March: #6 Villanova, #11 St. Mary’s, #3 Purdue, #14 Old Dominion, #5 Marquette, #12 Murray State, #4 Florida State, and #13 Vermont.
The first session of tournament play will include four games that will be played Thursday, March 21st. Please Note: The building will be cleared in between sessions. First-round winners will advance to the second rounds on Saturday, March 23rd with two games being played. Times for the second round of the tournament will be released following the conclusion of all first-round games.

- First Round- Session 1: Thursday, March 21
– Game 1: 2:00 p.m. #4 Florida State vs. #13 Vermont
– Game 2: After the conclusion of Game 1- #5 Marquette vs. #12 Murray State
- First Round- Session 2: Thursday, March 21
– Game 3: 7:20 p.m. #6 Villanova vs. #11 St. Mary’s
– Game 4: After the conclusion of game 3- #3 Purdue vs. #14 Old Dominion
- Second Round- Session 3: Saturday, March 23 – Game times TBA
– Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
– Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 4
