Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors announced that individual game tickets will be on sale to the public beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 25.

Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors announced the signing of defenseman Brad Cole for the 2013-2014 season.

“Brad has a veteran presence about him both on and off the ice. He really takes pride in team defense and has a very high Hockey IQ. I see Brad as a big part of our leadership group in Greenville this season,” said Head Coach Dean Stork. “He played for me in the 2010-11 season and was my most consistent defender in the playoffs that year. His relentless style of in your face hockey will make him a hard player to play against. I will rely on Brad in a shut-down role making it hard for other team’s skilled players in our defensive zone.” Continue reading

Road Warriors Introduce Hockey Demo Day

Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors announced Hockey Demo Day on Saturday August 3rd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dick’s Sports Goods off Woodruff Road.

The Greenville Road Warriors and Dick’s Sporting Goods have teamed up to educate the Upstate during Tax Free Weekend. Hockey Demo Day will be a hands-on opportunity for fans of all ages to learn the basics of the coldest sport in town. While fans learn about the rules and basic skills of hockey, they can interact with Head Coach Dean Stork and everyone’s favorite Warrior, Rowdy! Continue reading

ROAD WARRIORS ANNOUNCE 2013-2014 SCHEDULE

Road Warriors Unveil 2013-2014 Schedule

Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors unveiled their 2013-2014 Regular Season Schedule. The team will open the season on the road in Gwinnett on Friday, October 18th. The Road Warriors Home Opener will take place just a week later against the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday October 25th.

The ECHL schedule is made up of 72 games: 36 home and 36 away. The Road Warriors schedule features 27 home games that will be played on Friday nights, Saturday nights or Sunday afternoons. This season, Road Warriors Sunday games will begin at 3 p.m. The longest road trip will be eight games from January 24th to February 8th. This road trip is immediately followed up by the longest home stand of the season with seven games from February 9th to February 23rd. Continue reading

Kelly Cup Playoff: Round One – Game Two

Reading, PA: For the second night in a row, the Road Warriors couldn’t solved Reading netminder Riley Gill and were shutout 4-0 by the Royals.

Reading carried much of the momentum for the first period largely thanks to three penalties to the Road Warriors. Reading would outshoot the Road Warriors 13-6 in the period. Goalie Connor Knapp stood tall in net for Greenville, stopping all 13 shots he faced in the period. Continue reading

Reading, PA: Yannick Tifu‘s second period goal combined with a stifling Reading Royals defense and a solid performance between the pipes from netminder Riley Gill, handed the Greenville Road Warriors a 1-0 loss in front of 3,272 at the Sovereign Center in Game One of the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
