A ROUGH ROAD AHEAD FOR THE WARRIORS

The Greenville Road Warriors begin a busy week (four games in seven days) with a matinee visit to Duluth, Georgia to take on the Gwinnett Gladiators this afternoon.

The Road Warriors (21-14-2, 44 pts.) visit Gwinnett (18-11-9, 45 pts.) today for the seventh of 17 scheduled meetings between the clubs. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One  or listening at greenvilleroadwarriors.com. The Road Warriors are 4-2-0 this season against the Gladiators and 14-9-0 overall in their history against Gwinnett. Today the Road Warriors will be the early birds trying to get the worm as they play their earliest game of the season. The Road Warriors have thrived on weekday games so far this season and have built an 8-2-1 record on games play Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays the Road Warriors are a combined 13-12-1. Today is also the final game of four straight between Greenville and Gwinnett. The Road Warriors have won two of the first three with both victories coming in Greenville.

ROAD WARRIORS ROLL INTO FIRST

The Greenville Road Warriors defeated the Gwinnett Gladiators 3-1 on Friday night at the BI-LO Center and moved into first place in the South Division. Greenville’s record improved to 21-13-2 with the victory.

MAKE THAT A DOUBLE

The Greenville Road Warriors will try to make it two wins in as many nights against the Gwinnett Gladiators as they host their I-85 rivals at 7:35 p.m. tonight.

The Road Warriors (20-13-2, 42 pts.) host Gwinnett (17-10-9, 43 pts.) today for the fifth of 17 scheduled meetings between the clubs. Fans can follow the action by watching live on  America One or listening at greenvilleroadwarriors.com. The Road Warriors are 3-1-0 this season against the Gladiators and 13-8-0 overall in their history against Gwinnett. The Road Warriors won the first of a stretch of four straight games against Gwinnett last night and moved within one point of first place in the division. Last night’s loss was just the second in regulation for Gwinnett in its last 11 games, but it was the Gladiators’ fifth straight in Greenville dating back to February of 2011.
