MISSIAEN TO THE TOP OF THE LIST – AGAIN

Jason Missiaen of the Greenville Road Warriors is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Feb. 27-March 4. He also won the award for the week of Dec. 5-11.

The 21-year-old was 3-0-0 with a 1.62 goals-against average and a save percentage of .948 in three appearances last week.

Missiaen made 23 saves in a 2-1 win at Cincinnati on Tuesday and then stopped 27 shots in a 2-1 victory against South Carolina on Saturday. He ended the week by matching his season high with 42 saves in a 6-3 win against Trenton on Saturday.

TRENTON UP NEXT ON THE ROAD WARRIORS

Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors invade the capital city of New Jersey looking for the first win of their five-game northern road trip.

The Road Warriors (31-19-4, 66 pts.) visit Trenton (18-27-8, 44 pts.) today for the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at GreenvilleRoadWarriors.com. The Road Warriors and Titans are meeting up for the first time since Trenton, then playing as the Devils, visited Greenville on March 4, 2011. The Road Warriors skated away with a 3-2 overtime win behind 26 saves by Nic Riopel. Tonight is Greenville’s first ever appearance at Sun National Bank Center, but it is a homecoming, of sorts, for winger Jeff Prough. It will be his first game in Trenton as a visitor after playing 171 games for the Trenton Devils from 2008 to 2011. Prough had 42 goals over three seasons at home for the Devils.

The Greenville Road Warriors were unable to pick up their first win of the season against an Atlantic Division foe on Wednesday night as they fell to the Elmira Jackals by a 5-3 score. The loss dropped Greenville’s record to 31-19-4 on the season.
