RANGERS ANNOUNCE 2013 SCHEDULE
Team Opens 87th Season on January 19 at Boston;
Home Opener on January 20 against Pittsburgh

NEW YORK, January 12, 2013 – The New York Rangers will open the 2013 season with a back-to-back set beginning on Saturday, January 19, with an Original Six matchup at Boston. This will mark the fifth consecutive season the Rangers will open their regular season campaign on the road, and the 11th time in the last 13 seasons. The Rangers will complete the back-to-back set to begin the season with their home opener at MSG on Sunday, January 20, with an Atlantic Division matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Rangers will only face Eastern Conference opponents in a 48-game schedule that features 18 games against Atlantic Division opponents, and 15 games apiece against Northeast Division and Southeast Division opponents. New York will face Atlantic Division foes Pittsburgh and Philadelphia five times each, hosting the Penguins three times at MSG while playing the Flyers twice on home ice.
