  • The Rangers began their final back-to-back set of the season with a 3-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at Nationwide Arena. After two scoreless periods, the Blueshirts tallied three unanswered goals in the third to pull two points ahead of Columbus into third place in the Metropolitan Division standings. According to several sites on the internet, one time CT Whale/ Hartford Wolf Pack defenseman Michael Del Zotto has been traded by the New York Rangers to the Nashville Predators for defenseman Kevin Klein.

In comparing the two, it would seem that after five years in the organization and a lot as a highly regarded defensive prospect, Del Zoto’s market value plummeted if all they could receive was someone with Klein’s numbers.
