Greenville, SC – The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced a handful of changes to the team’s Training Camp Roster.

Goaltenders Mackenzie Skapski and Jeff Malcolm, as well as forward Josh Nicholls and defenseman Dallas Jackson have all been released from Hartford’s Training Camp and assigned to Greenville. In addition, defensemen Alex Lepkowski and Ryan Hill have been signed to tryout contracts, while center Michael Catenacci has elected to retire.  Continue reading

2014-15 Promotional Schedule Announced

GREENVILLE, SC The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, announced today the team’s promotional schedule for the 2014-15 season. This season, the Road Warriors will play 24 of their 36 home games on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, which will be highlighted by six big-time giveaways including Stars Wars youth jerseys and True Blue caps and t-shirts.  Continue reading

BRIAN GRATZ JOINS ROADIES AS ASST COACH

“Brian brings a solid base of professional coaching experience to the organization,” said General Manager, Chris Lewis. “He’s been around the game as both a coach and a player for many years and has had tremendous success in both roles. FUEHRING NAMED VOICE OF WARRIORS

Greenville, SC: The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, announced today that Alan Fuehring will join the organization as the team’s play-by-play broadcaster and Media Relations Manager.

“We are excited to have Alan join our team,” said Road Warriors General Manager Chris Lewis. “Alan brings professional play-by-play experience to our booth and will also be a valued member of our ticket sales team. I think our fans will enjoy the way that he will deliver the excitement of Road Warriors hockey this season.”

Fuehring comes to the Road Warriors after spending last season with the Peoria Rivermen of the Southern Professional Hockey League. In addition to being Peoria’s play-by-play broadcaster, Fuehring also oversaw media relations, maintained the organization’s website and social media pages, and served as an account executive. The Morton, Illinois native was very active in the community and was a key corporate sales producer for the Rivermen. Continue reading

Greenville, SC: Today the Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced the signing of defenseman Dallas Jackson and forwards Pat Mullane. In addition, the Road Warriors have signed forward Paul Rodrigues.

“Dallas has the tools to be a shut down defenseman and can play with the top power play unit. He is a guy who will log a lot of minutes and I am excited to have this type of defenseman join the team,” Coach Dean Stork said. “Pat has very good habits and strong attention to detail. His tremendous speed and defensive responsibility will make him a key contributor to the team’s success. The Road Warriors kick off their 5th season of hockey in the Upstate on Friday, October 24th against the South Carolina Stingrays at 7 p.m. The Road Warriors are offering fans the chance to be a part of the exciting Opening Night festivities with a special $10 ticket price. Greenville, SC: The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced today the 2014 preseason schedule.

The team will be on the road for a pair of games that will be hosted by South Division rivals, the South Carolina Stingrays and the Gwinnett Gladiators. The first game will be played against the Stingrays on Saturday, October 11th at the Carolina Ice Palace. Opening faceoff takes place at 7:05 p.m.

The final preseason game will be played against the Gladiators on Sunday, October 12th at the Duluth Ice Forum. The game is set to start at 5:30 p.m.
