Preview: Swamp Rabbits Hop Over to Norfolk
The Greenville Swamp Rabbits (23-18-4-1), proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, are back on the road tonight in Norfolk, VA at 7:15 p.m. Greenville won the only game at the Norfolk Scope this season and are 2-2-0-0 against the Admirals this season. Greenville looks to get back in the win column after a three-game slide in Florida. The story is the same for the Admirals who fell in three straight games to the Adirondack Thunder. Greenville has owned one of the best penalty kills in the ECHL at 86.4%, allowing the least goals against when down a man (21). The Admirals playoff push begins now, as the team is 15 points outside a playoff position with 28 games remaining in the season. Greenville is tied with South Carolina for third place in the South Division with 51 points. Angelo Miceli leads the Swamp Rabbits with 40 points (8G, 32A), while Brodie Dupont has earned a team-leading 34 points (13G, 21A) for Norfolk in 32 games. Continue reading
