BY: Bob Crawford, Hartford Wolf Pack
The Wolf Pack swept a pair of games this past week, to extend a winning streak to three games. On Friday night at home, the Wolf Pack defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 5-2, led by a goal and an assist each from Boo Nieves and Joe Whitney, and three assists from Scott Kosmachuk. Then, in its first road game Saturday night, Head Coach Keith McCambridge’s club downed the Springfield Thunderbirds 4-3, with Filip Chytil scoring the game-winning goal and adding two assists, for his first North American pro points.

The Wolf Pack play their first three-game weekend, starting with a home contest Friday night vs. the new Belleville Senators. Faceoff for that game is 7:15 PM. Then, Hartford hits the road for Atlantic Division battles with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Saturday night (7:05) and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Sunday (3:00).
Friday, October 20 vs. the Belleville Senators (Ottawa) at the XL Center, 7:15 PM
- At this game, and all Wolf Pack Friday-night home games, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers at every Friday Wolf Pack home game, through the start of the second period, presented by Dave & Buster’s.
- This is the first-ever meeting between the Wolf Pack and the Senators, a new franchise in the AHL this season. For the previous 15 years, the parent Ottawa club has had its AHL affiliation in Binghamton.
- The Senators, who are in the midst of a season-opening stretch of nine straight road games, chalked up their first victory of the season Saturday night in Hershey, downing the Bears 5-2, after losses in their first three outings.
- Forward Chris DiDomenico leads Belleville in both points and goals thus far, with 3-2-5.
- Tickets for this and all 2017-18 Wolf Pack home games are on sale now at the Agera Energy Ticket Office at the XL Center, online at hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499.
